Pratham India Education Initiative

Pratham India Education Initiative, seeded by UNICEF and the Mumbai Municipal Corporation, was initiated in 1994 to tackle the problem of the universalisation of primary education in Mumbai. The scaleable societal mission, ‘Every child in school and learning’, and its replication in other parts of the country has attracted diverse supporters and volunteers.
