Chief Commercial Officer & Chief Patient Centricity Officer
As Chief Commercial Officer at Piramal Pharma Solutions, Stuart Needleman is responsible for driving all global business development activities for the services business, ranging from discovery services to commercial supply, in both drug substance and drug products. Mr. Needleman plays a key role in enabling successful growth and execution of all PPS offerings.
Mr. Needleman is a respected senior executive in the contract services industry, having held leadership roles in global business development, sales and marketing, and operations, in a distinguished career that spans nearly three decades. His track record of driving sustainable growth at attractive margins, across several leading global organizations is well acknowledged by the industry. He also has had proven experience in developing seamless solutions that integrate drug substance and drug products. We are delighted to have him on board and believe that his extensive experience, and leadership traits, will be a perfect fit with our culture, as we move forward towards the strategic vision of becoming the ‘partner-of-choice’ for firms across the globe.
Mr. Needleman also functions as the Chief Patient Centricity Officer for PPS. In this role, he is responsible for ensuring that everyone at the company understands their role in helping to reduce the burden of disease and remains focused on the needs of the patient.
Prior to joining PPS, Mr. Needleman served as the President of Laurus Synthesis, a subsidiary of Laurus Labs. Prior to Laurus, Mr. Needleman was President and Chief Operating Officer of Aptuit and also held key roles at Cambrex, Oxford Asymmetry, ChiRex, and Rhodia Pharma Solutions in his earlier stints. He earned an MBA and BSc. in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). Mr. Needleman resides with his wife and daughter in Trumbull, Connecticut, US.
